STRAWBERRY NAPOLEON

STRAWBERRY NAPOLEON


Ingredients for napoleon:

1 pack frozen puff pastry
granulated sugar for sprinkling
1 egg white, beaten
1 tbsp. water
Ingredients for the filling:
2 cups strawberry whipped cream
1 shot Tequila Rose – strawberry cream liqueur
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 pack fresh strawberries
mint leaves
strawberry sauce

Directions for the napoleon:

1. Use a heart shape cutter and cut out heart shapes of puff pastry
2. Combine egg white and water and brush this on the puff pastry.
3. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
4. Bake at 400F until the pastry is puffed and golden. Set aside.

Directions for the filling:

1. Mix together strawberry whipped cream, tequila rose and powdered sugar. Beat until stiff.
2. Spread or pipe onto puff pastry.
3. Place strawberries on top of the cream.
4.Make another layer of puff pastry, cream and strawberries.
5.Cover with another layer of puff pastry.
6.Garnish with a rosette of cream, a strawberry and a mint leaf.
7.You can plate this by using strawberry sauce.
