Turron de Chocolate, Almendra y Naranja


Turron de Chocolate, Almendra y Naranja

A rich chocolate dessert studed with tangy orange peel and almond pieces.

Ingredients

200 ml Water
500 g White sugar
150 g NESTLÉ Postres chocolate (chopped)
6 Egg yolk
400 g Almond (peeled and roughly chopped)
1 tbsp Icing sugar
100 g Candied orange peel (chopped)
1 tbsp Flaked almond

Preparation steps

Grease and line a small rectangular loaf tin with plastic cling flim or baking parchment.

Prepare a light syrup by gently heating 200ml of water in a small saucepan. Add the sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Boil for 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat and add the chopped NESTLE Postres chocolate, stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

Add the egg yolks one by one, beating well after each addition.

Add the orange pieces and chopped almonds and mix well.

Return the pan to the heat and cook very gently until the mixture comes away from the side of the pan.

Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin. Place in the fridge and leave to chill overnight.

Remove from the fridge 1 hour before serving, to allow the turron to come to room temperature.


Remove from the tin and decorate with icing sugar and flaked almonds.
