Apple Muesli


Apple Muesli

Kick start the day with this Swiss apple Muesli. This recipe is too good to keep just for mornings, it is great for a healthy snack at any time of the day. Ring the changes by adding your favorite dried fruits and nuts.

Ingredients

5 tbsp Rolled oats
1 pot (150g) NESTLÉ Natural yogurt
4 tsp Lemon juice, fresh
4 tbsp Honey
3 Apples (Red skinned variety)
2 tbsp Raisins
25 g Flaked almonds (toasted)
125 ml Water

Preparation steps


Place the oats in a non-metallic bowl. Add the water, mix well and leave to soak overnight.

In a large bowl mix together the NESTLE Natural Yogurt with the lemon juice. Wash and dry the apples and cut one in half. Reserve one half for decoration. Use a large grater to grate 2 1/2 apples(unpeeled)directly into the yogurt mixture, discarding the core area. Stir frequently to prevent the apple browning.

Add the soaked oats, honey and raisins to the bowl and mix well.

Remove the core from the reserved apple half and cut into thin slices. Arrange 3 thin slices of apple in a fan on top of the muesli and sprinkle with the flaked almonds.
